Charity Work

Erika has been a keynote speaker at the National Foundation for Women Legislator’s Conference in Washington D.C. and in her speeches communicates about her personal research into the drug scene. Both for her role in “Traffic” and since, Erika has spoken first hand with many addicts, recovering addicts and rehabilitation specialists. As a result of her research, her message has become that rehabilitation is not only possible, but can be achieved regularly if the right tools are used.

Erika has made several more personal appearances in Washington D.C. stressing the importance of supporting drug rehabilitaiton programs that get results and which do not use substitute drugs for the drug problem. As a result of her anti-drug activism Erika participates in the DEA’s Demand Reduction Advisory Council.
